Carolyn Jane Kramer

On June 30, 2026, Carolyn Jane (Noble) Kramer, 87, stepped peacefully into eternity. The week prior was full of love and visitors, Face Times and flowers, and a hospital room that hosted late night chats, tearful goodbyes, and memories shared.

Carolyn was born on September 23, 1938 in Grandview, WA, to Wallace and Hazel Noble. She spent her early years on the family farm with her siblings, Lois (Chilton), Ron, and Paul. She attended Grandview High School and was a proud member of the class of 1957. She married Henry (Hank) Kramer on June 8, 1956. In 1958, Carolyn followed her husband to Ingrandes, France while he served in the United States Army. It was during this time that her first child, David, was born. Eventually they settled again in Grandview, where they made their home raising their four kids, David, Teresa, Raymalee, and Anita.

Carolyn was a stay-at-home mom for many years, taking care of her children, along with nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. She loved taking care of kids and telling the younger generations about where their family came from. She owned and operated Carrie’s Nursery and Daycare for over ten years and was affectionately known by many as Aunt Carrie or Grammy Kramer. She also spent many years as a Sunday school teacher at Grandview Assembly of God Church. After her kids were all in school, she worked at Smucker’s during grape harvest in the sugar shack. She was often teased that she would work one month and then needed 11 months to recuperate.

Carolyn loved taking care of her flower and vegetable gardens and the family vineyard. She also enjoyed hobbies such as canning, crafts, and sewing, and spent many years as a 4-H leader.  In the Winter, she would enjoy traveling to Arizona with her husband and making new friends. Carolyn was a wonderful member of the community. She was well known for her door always being open and she made sure to always tell everyone that she loved them.

Carolyn is joyfully reunited with her parents, husband, grandson, Andrew Wallace Kramer, brother-in-law, Gaylen Chilton, and nephew, Jonathan Concienne.

She will be deeply missed by her surviving family members: son, David (Cindy) Kramer; and daughters, Teresa (Scott) Severance, Raymalee (David) Hanvey, and Anita (David) Palacios. Grandchildren: Candace (Aaron) Houser with children, Aaden, Chloe, and Ashlynn; Brandy Kramer with children, Mackenzie and Logan; Tifany (Carlos) Santos with children, Nydene, Romy, Jayden, and Caleb; Stephanie Severance (fiancé, Brian); Michael (Jenna) Severance; Benjamin (Amber) Wilsey with children, Mable and Emma; Timothy (Mariah) Wilsey with child, Henry; Sophia (Josh) Dickerson with a child due in December; Leslie Dale; Danielle (Nic) Benton; Randy (Savannah) Hanvey with children, Presley, Marlee, and Willow; Matthew (Ashley) Kramer with children, Brendan, Emmeline, Rowen, and Roselie; Danielle (Chris) Cavazos with children, Cash and Cora; and Damon (Laycie) Palacios with child, Adalynn.

The family would like to thank the Prosser Hospital staff for their excellent care of our mother.
