Clifford J. Butler, Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, went home to be with the Lord on March 12th 2023, Born in Independence, Wisconsin to Hilda (Julson) and Rexford Butler on Sept 9th, 1927. Clifford was one of 9 children. In 1942 moved from Wisconsin at the of 15. He lived in Outlook, Kennewick, and the west coast before settling in Mabton, WA in 1952.
Clifford met the love of his life Maxine (Clayton) Butler and[CB1] got married Dec. 8th 1951. Clifford had two children Randy and Darla Butler. Clifford was a hard worker. He worked for the Mabton Feed Mill and Twin Cities food for many years before deciding to change career paths and working for the Mabton School District for 10 year up to his retirement.
Clifford enjoyed working in his farm, raising his farm animals, and also attending to his grapes. He enjoyed spending his time telling stores of when he grew up and teaching his family life little lessons.
He is survived by his daughter Darla (Sergio) Hernandez, grand-daughter Amanda Hernandez, great-grandchildren Trinity, Jaidyn, and Dominic Barajas. He also survived sister Charlotte (Bob) Haney brothers Garold (Patty) Butler, Vilas ( Dawn) Butler, Dr. Lloyd (Gloria) Butler, and Larry Butler. And many nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his beloved wife Maxine and son Randy. His mother Hilda and father Rexford Butler. Three brothers Donald, David, and Bob Butler.
Viewing and visitation will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside Washington. Graveside service will be held Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Zillah Cemetery.
