Concepcion "Connie" P. Garza

Concepcion (Connie) P. Garza, age 93, longtime Grandview resident, passed away on March 14,2025.  She was born on June 21, 1931 in Edinburg, Texas, daughter of Santiago and Juanita Perez.

Connie retired from Harriet Thompson Elementary School after 33 years of working with students as a parapro.  She was a very active member of the Blessed Sacrament Church teaching religious education and also a member of the Guadalupanas. Connie enjoyed flower gardening, spending time with her grandchild - especially during the summers, hosting all the family special events and yard sales every Saturday with her sisters.  And ice cream: her most favorite dinner.

Connie is survived by her siblings Manuela, Maximo, Jose, Inocencia, Victoria (Hermilo), Jim (Paula); her children Alicia, Armando, Adam Jr. (Erica); her grandchildren Thad, Alexis, Armando Jr,, Carly (Brandon), Derek, Izak, Izabela; and great granddaughters Emma, Camryn, Alivia and Avery.  Connie was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Adam Sr.; siblings Tomas and Ernestina and her daughters Adelia and Angelina.

Viewing and Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Grandview, WA.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Grandview, WA.  Burial will follow at the Grandview Cemetery, Grandview, WA.  Those wishing to sign Connie's online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com   Smith Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
