Dennis Alan Faulk of Grandview, Washington passed away on March 19, 2024, following an automobile accident.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Victoria, son Zachary Faulk and his wife Audrey of Mesa, Washington, daughter Alena Dunn and her husband, Brady of Minden, Louisiana, grandchildren, Brock, Harrison, Hank, and Abilene. He is also survived by two brothers, Steven Faulk and family of West Richland, Washington and Darrin Faulk and family of Cedar Hills, Utah and numerous nieces and nephews including two he was very close to, Rebekah and James. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dennis was born in Prosser, Washington on December 29, 1959, to Denzil (Dee) and Beverly Faulk. Dennis attended school in Grandview, Washington where he excelled in football, wrestling, and baseball. He graduated from Grandview High School in 1978 and then attended Washington State University. Dennis graduated from WSU in 1982 with a degree in Agriculture, and then taught high school agriculture for two years in Toppenish, Washington. In 1984 Dennis began a long career at the Hanford Site. He worked at several Hanford facilities, eventually progressing to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). He served as the Hanford Program Manager for the EPA until his retirement. During his time at the EPA, Dennis was instrumental in several key decisions that made significant impacts on Hanford Site Cleanup, especially along the Columbia River Corridor.
Dennis loved his family, traveling, attending concerts with friends, and the WSU Cougars (Go Cougs!). He was a tremendous presence in the lives of everyone who knew him. Dennis had a heart of gold and will be truly missed.
Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sunnyside, WA. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Washington State University Foundation, P.O. Box 641927, Pullman, WA 99164-1927 would be welcomed.
