Dennis Keith Quesinberry

Dennis Keith Quesinberry, 86, of Sunnyside, Washington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Dennis was born on July 26, 1939, in Ellensburg, Washington, to Wilbur and Evelyn Quesinberry. He was raised in Sunnyside, where he attended local schools and graduated from Sunnyside High School. Following graduation, he proudly served in the United States Coast Guard from 1957 to 1961.

In the summer of 1962, Dennis met Marilyn Frank, and the two were married on February 2, 1963. They began their life together in The Dalles, Oregon, where Dennis worked as a lineman for Pacific Power and Light. Their daughter, Michele, was born in 1965.

Dennis and Marilyn later returned to Sunnyside to take over the family asparagus farm. Their son, Bryan, was born in 1968, and the family remained lifelong residents of the community they loved.

Dennis was a devoted supporter of the Sunnyside Swim Team, serving several years as Swim League President. In the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, he was a partner at Bob’s Drive Inn, where one of his burger creations—the Super Trucker—is still served today.

A loyal Washington State University fan, Dennis enjoyed attending countless football games with his family. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and spent many cherished days fishing, hunting, and visiting Westport, Washington. He and Marilyn also loved traveling throughout the Pacific Northwest, Oregon, and California in their motorhome, often in the company of close friends.

Dennis had a lifelong passion for car racing. He and Marilyn traveled across the country to watch their favorite NASCAR drivers and were regulars at the Yakima Speedway, where Dennis enthusiastically supported local racers. They were also longtime members of the Cascade Snow Drifters Snowmobile Club and enjoyed many years of snowmobiling adventures.

The greatest joy of Dennis’s life was his granddaughter, Elizabeth Quesinberry. He took immense pride in her ski racing accomplishments and spoke often of how proud he was of her.

Dennis will be remembered for his humor, charisma, and the genuine warmth he brought to those around him. He lived life on his own terms, built lasting friendships, and loved his family deeply. His presence, laughter, and zest for life will be profoundly missed.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur “W.D.” Quesinberry; his mother, Evelyn (Kuest) Quesinberry; and his beloved wife, Marilyn (Frank) Quesinberry.

He is survived by his children, Michele Quesinberry Fitzgibbon of Spokane and Bryan (Teresa) Quesinberry; and his granddaughter, Elizabeth M. Quesinberry, all of Spokane Valley.
