Dolores Soto Obituary

With deep sorrow and much love, we mourn the passing of Dolores “Lolita” Soto. She departed this world surrounded by her family on January 20th, 2021 at KADLEC Regional Medical Center in Richland. Lolita was born on September 15th, 1975 in San Juan del Rio, Durango, Mexico to Juana & Jesus Soto. Lolita became a loving wife to Sergio Medina in September of 2019.

Lolita was the third eldest of five sisters: Cecilia, Teresa, Juana, and Maria. And also of three brothers: Manuel, Genaro and Lorenzo. She was the most caring, loving, and thoughtful person you could ever meet. She’d put a smile on people’s faces with simply hearing her talk. There was not one single drop of negativity in her soul. She loved with no limits, she loved sincerely and purely. She was the sunshine to everyone’s rainy days..

Lolita was an Aunt to 27 nieces and nephews, who almost all described her as a “second mother” growing up. She always showed her love and support by attending their sport tournaments, school concerts, student-of-the month ceremonies and all achievements every single one accomplished. “Tia Lolita” was the person to go to for ANYTHING. She was their bestfriend. The one with patience and understanding. The one with warm & long hugs. On their birthdays they always asked for her delicious homemade chocolate cake...and spaghetti.

Lolita was “The Chef” of the family. Many friends knew her for her unique and exquisite dishes. She had an absolute passion for cooking and baking. Each person in the family had their favorite dish made by her almost on a weekly basis. She was always flattered and full of joy when they’d request her special recipes. She loved dancing and singing with her brothers and sisters at family get-togethers.

Now, Lolita is reunited with her dad in heaven. She will forever be remembered and missed. Rest in peace Lolita.
