Donna Perez

Donna Perez age 89 of Sunnyside, WA passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 18, 2026. Donna was born March 8, 1937 in Rio Grande City, Texas the daughter of Jose and Paula Garza Vera. She received her education in Texas and graduated from Rio Grande High School. On February 16, 1957 she married Horacio Perez in La Casita, Texas. Horacio and Donna moved to Washington State after marriage. Donna worked for many years at Twin City Foods and retired as their Inspector. Donna loved to sell Home Interiors and Gifts, and Cookie Lee products. She had traveled all across the country for many Home Interiors and Gifts conventions. Donna was a member and attended Good Shepard Church and Prince of Peace Church.

Donna is survived by her husband of 69 years Horacio Perez of Sunnyside, WA, (Daughter) Melida Ahanchi spouse Mostafa Ahanchi, Bellevue, WA (Son) Noel Perez, Zillah, WA (Son) Ricardo Perez, Sunnyside, WA, (Son) Jamie Perez, spouse Andrea Perez Yakima, WA, (Daughter In Law) Julie Perez, Sunnyside, WA, 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 1 sibling Guadalupe Contreras, (Spouse, Wenceslao Contreras).

She was preceded in death by (Son) Horacio Perez Jr. (Daughter) Linda Perez, (Father) Jose Maria Vera, (Mother) Paula Garza Vera, (Siblings) Guadalupe Vera, Camilo Vera, Hilario Vera, Abel Vera, Juan Vera, Matias Vera, Dorafelia Contreras, Margarita Rivera, Victoria Vera, and Amalia Vera.  Donna was a Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.  She loved and served the Lord.

Viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 from 8:30 a.m. until time of the Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA.  Burial to follow at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside, WA.  Those wishing to sign Donna's online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com   Smith Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
