Dorothy Howe Obituary

Dorothy Marie Howe, the heart of the family, was called home to help the Lord tend to his garden on March 27, 2026 at the age of 97.

She was born in Toppenish, WA. on April 28, 1928 to Joseph and Lydia (Stencil) Deyo. As the eldest of three daughters she was taught at a young age to keep a tidy home and to take care of her family , which she continued to do the rest of her days.

Dorothy married the love of her life, Bernard Howe, June 1, 1947. Together they raised two sons, Gary and Randy to whom they instilled a strong work ethic.

Dorothy helped Bernard run the family farm, worked at Perham Fruit Company for over 30 years plus still made sure dinner was on the table every evening for her family.

Even in her golden years she rarely slowed down. Dorothy took great pleasure in gardening, ironing, doing puzzles and visiting with her family and friends.  She taught her friend Tina how to crochet dishcloths and looked forward to each visit. She had a very giving spirit and fun sense of humor, all the way up to the final days.

Dorothy is predeceased by her Husband of 57 years Bernard, Parents Joe and Lydia Deyo, Sister and Brother-In-Law Bonnie and Bob Johnson, Brother-In-Law Elton Wheeler.

Dorothy is survived by her Sister Wanda Wheeler, 2 Sons Gary (Lori) and Randy (Lynn) Howe, 6 Grandchildren: Andy (Cindy) Howe, Brenda (Paul) Crofton and Karen Ward. Jessica (Shane) Wammock, Jennifer (Dirk) Bush, and Ryan Howe. 17 Greats: Arthur, Alex, A.J., Jacob, Robert, Megan, Richelle (Julie), Emily, Savannah (Patrick), Sierra, Sydney (Noah), Haley, Addison, Abigail, Merri, Bryanna and James. 13 Great-Greats: Arabella, Astrid, Sampson, Ajada, Mikeal, Deklyn, Lynzee, River, Kanaan, Kamden, Maverick, Ozzy and Zariyah.
