Florence “Arlene" (Atkinson) Kruger, age 86, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2024. Born on September 21, 1938, In Emporia, Kansas, Arlene was a loving soul known for her warmth, creativity, and dedication to her faith and family. Although her given name was Florence Arlene, she was affectionately known as Arlene by all who loved her.
On April 20, 1957, Arlene married her beloved husband, Jack Kruger, beginning a journey together that would be filled with love, family, and cherished memories. Her life was marked by her exceptional talent as a pianist and organist, a gift she shared over the years in various Christian Churches, where she brought comfort and inspiration to countless people. Her hands were never idle, as she was an outstanding quilter, sewer, and crocheter, creating countless handmade treasures for her family and friends.
A loyal Seattle Seahawks fan, Arlene cheered her team on with enthusiasm, bringing her vibrant energy to every game day. Her passion, humor and unshakeable faith left an Indelible mark on all who knew her.
Arlene is preceded in death by her husband Jack B. Kruger Jr., her parents, her sons, David and Jeff, and her grandson Brad. She is survived by her loving daughters, Celeste Kruger, Lisa (Mike Kotlarz), and Jackie (Cory Heneghen), along with 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry on her legacy of love and kindness.
A Graveside Inurnment Service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside, WA.
