Frances Ellen Crawford Price

Frances Ellen Crawford Price, 84, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026 in Sunnyside, WA.  Frances was born November 16, 1941 in Ellensburg, Washington. Frances Crawford moved to Prosser, Washington with her parents, Benton and Evelyn, and her siblings Anne, Edward and Barbara when she was four years old. Franny attended and completed her schooling in Prosser, graduating from Prosser High School in 1960. Frances was an active member of her school community taking part as a cheerleader in both junior and senior high schools. She also played tennis and was homecoming queen in 1959. After high school, Frances attended beauty school in Yakima, Washington where she also worked as a beautician for several years. She would later become the manager of a beauty shop in Seattle, Washington.

In 1965, Frances married Splint Price Junior (“JR/Junior”) in Las Vegas, Nevada. They moved from Washington state to California and then later to Arizona. Frances had a variety of jobs throughout her lifetime where she would find opportunities to surround herself with people and friendship. Frances and JR were animal lovers and surrounded themselves with cats and dogs throughout their marriage. After nearly fifty years of marriage, Junior passed away in 2014. Frances returned to Washington state at that time where she lived with her sister Anne for several years. Franny would eventually return to Prosser where she lived with her childhood friend Jackie Poe for many years. In the last year of her life, Francis developed cancer which eventually led to her passing.

Frances Price was preceded in death by her husband Splint Price Jr in 2014, her parents Benton and Evelyn Crawford, her sister Barbara Kohn, and her brother Edward Crawford. She is survived by her siblings: Anne Fazendin, Don Crawford (and wife Betty), Marilyn Cleveringa (and husband Larry), Carrie Wanke (and husband Mark), and Charles Crawford (and wife Connie).
