Francisco Martinez Obituary

Francisco G. “Fire Bug” Martinez, 26, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  Frank was born on March 23, 1993 in Yakima, WA the son of Fidelina (Palomino) and Severiano “Chico” S. Rodriquez.  Frank received his education in Mabton and graduated with the Class of 2012.  Frank participated in Little League Baseball and while in high school played football and wrestled.  Following his education Frank began his working career at the Sunnyside Sears store and was currently employed at Sunnyside Manufactured Homes as a countertop specialist.  Every weekend would be a new adventure of fishing or hunting with special friends. This year Frank bagged his first buck around the Bickleton area.  His family was his life, each one having their own special place in his heart, he loved playing video games with little brother Steven,  talks  and  wresting tips with sister Nevaeh and visiting and playing jokes on Mom and Dad. He was the master chef at family barbeques and always would invite his friend Lorenzo to join in on the family fun and food. Frank was also a member of the Sunnyside Blue Moon Pool League.   

Frank is survived by his parents, Chico and Fidelina Rodriquez of Mabton, WA.  Siblings Anita M. Rodriquez of Pasco, WA, Christina Martinez of Mabton, WA, Tomas Martinez Jr. of Sunnyside, WA, Jessica Palomino, Nevaeh Rodriquez and Steven Rodriquez all of Mabton, WA. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  Frank is preceded in death by his grandparents, Filomeno and Fidelina Palomino, Ramon and Martina Rodriquez, three brothers Daniel Rodriquez, Chico Rodriquez Jr. an Steven Rodriquez and a uncle, Juan Prieto Jr. Viewing and visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside, WA.  Burial will follow at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens.  Those wishing to sign Frank’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com   Smith Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
