Gary M Dunnington

On Oct. 27, 2023, Gary passed away peacefully at Hospice House the day before he was planned to go home.  He was surrounded by his loved ones.  Gary was a longtime resident of Prosser, WA.  He owned and operated a telecommunication company for 20 plus years.  Then decided to be a full-time cattle rancher.  Gary was an avid Hunter/Packer, enjoying numerous packing trips with his grandchildren through the years.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Ruth and brother Bruce. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Michele and one brother Rich Dunnington. Three children Jolee Bisterfelt (Paul), Jerrad Sumner (Susan), Lisa Heneghen (Steve), grandchildren Nicholas Heneghen (Daisy), Zachery Heneghen (Haley), Baylee Smiley (Isaac), Lynzy Martinez (Tony) Abigail Wright (Judah), Kiersten Brimmer, Isaac Engels, Sophia Engels. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Desert Wind Winery 2258 Wine Country in Prosser,  WA 99350  In lieu of flowers those wishing to honor Gary’s memory may contribute to the Hospice House 2108 W Entiat Ave. Kennewick, WA 99336  Those wishing to sign Gary’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com   Smith Funeral Home is in care of Smith Funeral Home.
