With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Genaro Martinez on 05/19/2026 after a year and a half courageous battle following a hemorrhagic stroke. He fought hard to recover but was ultimately unable to overcome the complications.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. For 30 years, he shared a beautiful marriage with his beloved wife, Silvia Diaz. He leaves behind his wife, five children three daughters, two sons, and four cherished granddaughters. His memory will forever live in our hearts.
Con profundo dolor anunciamos el fallecimiento de Genaro Martínez el día Mayo 19, 2026, después de un año y medio de una valiente lucha tras sufrir un derrame cerebral hemorrágico. Luchó con todas sus fuerzas por recuperarse, pero no logró superar las complicaciones.
Fue un esposo, padre, abuelo y amigo amoroso. Durante 30 años compartió un hermoso matrimonio con su querida esposa, Silvia Díaz. Deja a su esposa, cinco hijos, tres hijas, dos hijos, y cuatro nietas. Su recuerdo vivirá siempre en nuestros corazones.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service at 11:00 a.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Grandview, WA. Burial will follow at the Grandview Cemetery. Those wishing to sign Genaro's online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com
