Our beloved Papa, George Allen Hunt, was called home by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on April 5th, 2026.
George was born in Prosser, Wa to Frank and Eleonora Hunt in 1956. George settled down and made one heck of a life in Grandview. George made his living as a journeyman pipe fitter and fabricator for CWR. When he wasn’t working, George was gearing up his boat to hook a big, beautiful fish. George loved the outdoors and being on the water.
George adored his family and never missed a chance to kick our butts in Yahtzee. He was fun loving and kind. George loved rock n roll and showing off his guitar skills on occasion. George was known for his sweet tooth, making him the biggest fan of his wife’s chocolate chip cookies.
George’s favorite activity was taking road trips and spending quality time with his loving wife, Sybie. The two were inseparable.
George was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and one brother. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Sybie. George is also survived by three children; Lori (Kelly) Serl, Nick Davila, Jeff Hunt, six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Words can never express how greatly missed this wonderful man will be. He was definitely one of a kind. What an immense blessing and privilege to have known him and have him in our lives. Until we see you again, papa! FISH ON!
A private family celebration of life will be held. Those wishing to sign George’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com Smith Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
