Our beloved mother, Graciela Cerda, 58, went to be in the arms of her Heavenly Father on Friday, June 26, 2020 from Lourdes Hospital. Graciela was born on October 12, 1961 in Blackfoot, Idaho the daughter of Maria (Del Refugio) and Esteban Garcia Sr.. She received her education in Sunnyside. Her working career began as a field worker and later she became a baker and work for Walmart and Yokes both in the Tri-Cities. She loved to cook, spend time with family and travel to her favorite state Texas. Graciela was an avid Seahawk Fan, love listening and dancing to any kind of music. She was also known to be a movie buff and watch movies at home or go to the theater and enjoy popcorn with her movie.
Graciela is survived by her husband Francisco Cerda Sr., Children Rolando Garcia currently in Mexico, Gerardo Zamora (Cristy) of Texas, Francisco Cerda Jr. (Christina) of Pasco, WA and Juan Cerda of Grandview, WA. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and one great grandson. Brothers Enrique Garcia, Robert Garcia, Lupe Garcia, Steve Garcia, Sisters, Esther Guzman, Lily Lozano and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by brothers Juan Garcia and Ruben Garcia, sisters Rebecca and Gloria Mendez.
Viewing and visitation will be held Thursday, July 2, 2020 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm with recitation of Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sunnyside, WA. Graveside service will be Friday, July 3, 2020 at 11:00 am at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside, WA.
