Gregorio "Greg" Cantu

Gregorio Cantu, age  76, of Sunnyside passed away peacefully in his home on May 21st, 2025. He was born on June 24th, 1948 to Gregorio and Estela Cantu. Gregorio met the love of his life Diana in Sunnyside and married her on April 21st 1968, they were married for 57 years raising 4 children together.

Gregorio was a hard worker from an early age. From age 17 to 49 he worked hard in agriculture to support his family until an unfortunate injury put him on disability. He was a great storyteller who enjoyed old cowboy movies and MMA fights with his boys and would never pass up having a backyard BBQ with his family and hanging out with his grandkids. 

Gregorio is survived by his wife, Diana Cantu, his four children, Esmeralda Cruz (Leonard), Sylvia Deford (Scott), Gregorio Cantu Jr., Brian Cantu (Andie Manibog-Cantu), nine grandchildren, Christine Williams (Will), Anthony Cantu (Kimberly), Kayla Deford, Kassy Cruz, Austin Cruz, Nathan Cantu, Sophia Cantu, Kindall Cantu and Justin Taylor Lakey. Along with 5 great grandchildren, Emaliah, Jaxton, Maddox, Cali and Adreal. His sister Janie Alaniz and lots of nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Gregorio and Estela Cantu, Siblings, Humberto and Sister-In-Law Gloria, Hector, Felix (Mito) Sister-In-Law Elva, Lionel Cantu, Lela Moreno and Son-In-Law Cory Deford.

Gregorio will be laid to rest at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside, WA on Tuesday May 27th at 11 AM.
