Henry Tobin

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Hank Tobin, who departed this life peacefully surrounded by loved ones on November 17th, 2025. Born in 1950, in Prosser, Hank dedicated his years to the work he loved as a farmer, embodying steadfast commitment, humility, and quiet strength throughout his life.

Hank was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He built his life around family and faith, upholding values forged through hard work and a deep sense of responsibility. His hands, worn from a lifetime of labor, were equally known for the gentleness and care they extended to those he loved.

Hank is survived by his wife Blanche Tobin of Mabton, WA and 2 sons Michael Tobin (Katherine) of Grandview, WA, Joe Tobin (Ronni) of Walla Walla, WA,  Honorary Son, Keith Parks grandchildren Justin, Alissa and Travis Tobin of Grandview, WA and Jacee and Karli Tobin of Walla Walla, WA.  great grandchild Avery, with one additional great-grandchild expected and grandchildren-in-law Isic and Aeisha. Each of them brought him immeasurable pride and joy. He is also survived by his siblings Dean and Betty Doerschlog of Spokane, WA., Don and Theresa Tobin of Grandview, WA, Jerry and Toots Roy of Moxee, WA., Bill Castle of Grandview, WA, Karen Tobin of Hermiston WA, and David and Carmen Tobin of Grandview, WA. He is preceded in death by one son Brian Tobin.

Hank’s legacy is reflected in the integrity with which he lived, the wisdom he imparted, and the deep devotion he held for his family. His absence will be deeply felt, yet the influence of his life will resonate for generations to come. 

Viewing and Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025 from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mabton Grace Brethren Church, Mabton, WA.  Inurnment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Mabton Cemetery.In Lieu of flowers those wishing to honor Henry’s memory may contribute to the Mabton Grace Brethren Church P.O.
