JAIME JAVIER GARCIA
New Years Eve, we lost our beloved brother Jaime Garcia to COVID. My family was not prepared for this loss and we did all we could to keep him from getting sick.
Jaime was Developmentally Disabled but was gifted in other ways. His favorite past time was listening to music, watching TV and playing instruments. He taught himself to play guitar, piano, accordion, trumpet and the harmonica. He also loved McDonalds, El Conquistador Mexican Restaurant in Sunnyside and Milky Way Bars.
Jaime had to endure a lot growing up. From being in a body cast from the waist down as a child to having multiple surgeries for other ailments. As my parents got older and needed more care themselves, Elsa and her husband Raul took over his care.
Jaime is proceeded in death by his father: Cristobal Garcia and mother: Gumersinda Garcia. He is survived by his sisters Martha (Catarino) Castillo, Paula Mercado, Elsa (Raul) Villarreal, Lidia (Harland) Lippold and Diana (Jason) Lyczewski and by his brothers David Garcia and Chris Garcia. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Daniel, Jacob, Jeremy, Savannah, Jeffery, Kyle, Felicia, Riqui, Sage, Blanca Flor, Isaiah and Samantha.
If you would like to donate for his funeral expenses, a GoFundMe has been started in his name. Here is the link. https://gofund.me/a1903b2e
The Garcia family truly and deeply appreciates any help given whether it is by donating, sharing, praying or just being there for us. May we all have a better year in 2021.
