Janice Tovar

Janice had a strong faith in Jesus Christ. She was an excellent student and registered nurse. She was incredibly hardworking and could tackle any and all tasks put before her. After she became a registered nurse, she married her husband and had a beautiful family, including grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family and friends, including swimming, riding bikes, going on walks, getting coffee, and shopping. Janice enjoyed making homemade apple cider, crafts, knitting, and crocheting. She could knit effortlessly and sometimes without looking. She had a talent and joy for baking. Her chocolate chip cookies, almond bars, and Christmas cookies were second to none. She also loved traveling to visit her family during Thanksgiving time. Janice especially enjoyed family vacations to the Oregon Coast. She loved beachcombing and the endless quest to find a whole intact sand dollar. Janice's smile was contagious and her laugh is unforgettable. Her wit was quick and clever. She was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 at the Sunnyside Chrisitan Reformed Church.  Funeral Service begins at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside, Washington.  Those wishing to sign Janice’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com
