Jayden "Jay" Lara Obituary

Jayden Elijah Lara, a cherished son, brother, friend, passed away from complications of a tragic motorcycle accident on March 21st, 2025, at the age of 18 in Richland, Washington.  Jayden left this earth the same way he came into it, with his Mom and Dad by his side.  He was born on October 31st, 2006 in Prosser, WA, and has brought joy and light into the lives of all who knew him over the last 18 years.  Jayden was a senior in high school and loved cars, trucks and everything to do with both.  He loved gaming with all his gamer buddies and doing guy stuff with his “Compas” and his beloved cousins.  He was known for his kind heart, infectious smile, positive attitude and energetic self.  He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, resilience and just being a beautiful soul.  He is survived by his parents, Johnny and Christina, his siblings Abigail Marie and Avyana Jane and we can’t forget his fur baby Chula.  Jayden had a love for sports at a young age and played soccer and basketball for most of his young and early teenage years.  Once he got his driver’s license, his passion went crazy for cars and trucks and always modifying them to his style.  Jayden was so proud of being part of his car club “Team Midnight” and always wanting to do meets at the car wash and have team events.  He lived for anything that dealt with that as that was his passion.  He was on track and set to graduate at Grandview High School in June 2025.  He worked hard and had goals set and was going to achieve them.  We are so honored to know how many people’s life Jayden impacted and will leave a legacy here on earth.  Jayden has countless family, friends, co-workers, teammates and classmates who will deeply miss him.  We hope everyone is at peace knowing he will be rejoicing with our almighty father in heaven. We also want to express our appreciation and gratitude to the love of his life, Gisele.  Mija, you are always going to be so loved by us as you were loved by him. The Lara Family would also like to give a heartfelt Thank You to every single call, text, donation and support we have received in Jayden’s last days.  We are beyond blessed.
