Jeanette Crowe Knight
Longtime Sunnyside, resident Jeanette Knight passed away September 24, 2024. She was born March 20,1936 in Lander, Wyoming. The family moved to Sunnyside in 1945. Jeanette enjoyed school and had a lifelong love of learning. She loved sports and was a majorette for Sunnyside High School and loved to ice skate in her youth.
In 1953 Jeanette married Robert Knight. They were married 23 years they had three daughters, Pamela, Kathleen and Julia.
Jeanette was employed at the JC Penney company for many years and was a member in The United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed her hobbies, was an expert Seamstress, made her own clothes for herself and family, reading books, jigsaw puzzles, crocheted and knitted beautiful things for friends and family. She loved collecting rocks and making beautiful rock gardens wherever she lived. She was a huge sports fan and especially loved the Seahawks and Mariners. She was a popcorn lover, enjoyed endless cups of tea, ice cream and anything with lemon.
Mom loved her children and grandchildren, Sunnyside, and was a proud American.
Mom was preceded in death by her parents Wayne and Mabel Crowe and all her brothers and sisters and three Grandsons. Mom is survived by daughter Pam and Husband Rick Grindrod. Daughter Kathy and Husband Jim Grubenhoff and Daughter Julia Knight Shehata. Her Grandchildren, Melanie Alto, Lindsay (John) Lopez, Matthew Ganser (Allegra), Amanda (William) Thomas. Michael (Nicole) Shehata, Elisabeth (Carlos) Martinez and Andrew Shehata (Jackie), Matthew Grubenhoff, Meghan (Robert) Paschke, Kristen (Jason) Froelich. Moms Great-Grandchildren, Jared (Jenika), Jeremiah, Jaxton, Maren, Sydney, Carson and Jase, Olivia, Ethan, Dominic, Christopher, Madeline, Gabriella and Harmony. also, many beloved Nieces and Nephews.
Mom you will live in our hearts forever.
