Jesus “Pelon” or Cholo” Martinez Jr. age 48, longtime Mabton resident passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024 in California. Jesus was born in Toppenish, WA on February 23, 1976 the son of Jesus and Mary (Flores) Martinez Sr. He received in education in Mabton, WA. Following his high school education, Jesus worked at various restaurants in the Yakima Valley. Jesus then established J.N.D. Connections in Sunnyside, WA. before moving to California 2012. He dedicated his career to the Medical Marijuana Industry. Jesus loved everyone he met and was quite a prankster.
Jesus is survived by eleven children, Jesus Martinez III (Shelbie), Bernardo Martinez (Noemi), Juan Garcia, Exzavior Martinez (Christina), Juanito Martinez, Juanita Martinez, Hannah Martinez, Nayelie Cardenas, Zaide Martinez, Zahne Martinez, Zeniahia Martinez. Nine Grandchildren. He also survived by his mother, Mary Campos (Antonio). Three sisters, Dana Montgomery (Jim), Corina Lagos (Samuel), Michele Medina (Fidel). Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be Recited at 6:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA. Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at the Mabton Cemetery, Mabton, WA.
