Jesusa (Susie) Valle, 85 of Grandview passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on November 25, 2021. Susie was born on July 30, 1936 in Nuevo Laredo Mexico the daughter of Juan and Librada (Vasquez) Hernandez the sixth of twelve children. On November 14, 1964 she married the love of her life Everardo (Lalo) Valle in Toppenish, WA. They traveled throughout Washington, and in 1972 they made Mabton, WA their home for 25 years. In 1997, they settled down and found their forever home in Grandview, WA until her death.
Mom was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved being around her family and attending family gatherings. She loved to crochet and plant roses in her garden. She had several jobs from picking cotton, strawberries, working in the hops, and the list goes on. In 1977 she started working for Washington Migrant Council Daycare Center in Mabton, WA as an infant teacher until her retirement in 1999.
Susie is survived by her children Victor (Esther) Valle and Andrea Valle of Grandview WA. Five grandchildren Jimmy Salaiz, Victor Valle Jr., Michael Valle, Nicholas Valle and Alicia Valle. She is also survived by three sisters, Theresa Moreno of Sunnyside, WA., Guadalupe Rocha of Yakima, WA., and Martha Solis of Renton WA. Three brothers, John Manuel Hernandez of Kennewick, WA., Rodolfo Hernandez of Seattle, WA., Juan Hernandez Jr of Grandview, WA., and a large number of nephews and nieces.
Preceding her in death is her husband Everardo (Lalo) Valle, parents Juan and Librada Hernandez, two sisters, Juanita Rojas and Margaret Rodriguez, three brothers, Fausto Hernandez, Morris Hernandez and Ramiro Hernández.
We would like to thank Mt. View Home Health and Heartlinks Hospice for all the wonderful care they provided to our mother at home.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Grandview, WA. with burial to follow at the Elmwood Cemetery in Toppenish, WA.
