JoAnn Schneider

JoAnn Schneider was called home on August 5th, 2023. She was born August 12, 1945 to Clifford and Eleanora Mount in Prosser Washington. She was the fourth eldest of 9 children. JoAnn received her education in Prosser. On November 22, 1972 she married the love of her life David Schneider. They would have 2 daughters, Teresa and Joell. David and JoAnn truly enjoyed camping and fishing on the Columbia River, in fact that is where you would have found them most every weekend from March to September. In 1987 they bought their small hobby farm in Grandview and that is where she lived until her passing.

JoAnn is proceeded in death by her parents, her sisters Dorothy Mount, Carol Hyde, Linda Griffin, Shirley Irby, her brothers Morris Mount, Mike Mount, nephew Davey Mount, niece Cathy Wood and step-daughter Tonja Bright. She is survived by her loving husband David, her daughters Teresa (Steve) Hughes, Joell (Eric) Stanton her brothers Bud (Janet) Mount, Tony (Andrea) Mount and 3 step- daughters Sandy Graff, Diane Landers, and Kaye Meiers, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many more nieces and nephews.

Viewing and visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2023, at the Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside, WA. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday August 12, 2023, at the Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside, WA with burial to follow at the East Prosser Cemetery in Prosser, WA. Those wishing to sign JoAnn’s online guest book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com  Smith Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
