Obituary

Our beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Monday, August 21, 2023, at home, with his wife by his side.  Joe Albert Fuller (known by many was Jay) was born March 13, 1942 in Hickory Ridge, Arkansas to Joe Edd and Belva Fuller.

Joe received his early education in Fisher, Arkansas.  As a teenager he followed his parents to Granger, WA.   Joe met his wife, Connie, in Granger, WA and their love was a whirlwind romance.  They knew each other less than 2 days before eloping to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on July 7, 1965.  This marriage resulted in three children Brenda, Joe E (Joey) and Joe A (J.J.).  Joe was a mechanic by trade working for local car dealerships, Seneca Foods and Hyster.  Joe was a longtime member of the Lower Valley Canyon Crawlers.  He and his family could be found jeeping in the mountains on weekends or attending jeep play days in Granger and surrounding areas.

Joe and Connie decided it was time to go back to their roots and packed up what belongings they could put in their car and van and relocated to Fort Smith, AR in 1998.  Joe began another career with Wren Handling until he retired.  Due to health reasons, they moved back to Washington in 2015.

Joe is survived by his wife of 58 years Connie, his daughter Brenda Fuller-Johnson, son Joe E. (Adrienne) Fuller, grandchildren Michael (Katie) Johnson, Steven Curry, Antonio Neal, Dominique Fuller, Brianna Fuller and Cody Fuller.  Great grandsons Myles and Nolan Johnson.  His sister Louise (Ron) Foiles.  In addition to many other family and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, son Joe Albert Jr (JJ).

“You will always be in my heart…because in there you’re still alive”

“This in not good-bye but see you later”
