Jose Alejandro Solis (Alex)(Texas) beloved son, brother, father, friend, and grandfather 63, of Sunnyside returned to his heavenly home on April 18, 2024.
Jose was born January 20,1961 in Santo Domingo De Guzman, Guanajuato, Mexico to Juana Clalvillo Balderas and Jose Nieves Solis.
At the young age of 18 he migrated to the US in 1979 to pursue the “American dream” In the winter of 1985 he met Ignacia Medina and together had two children, daughter Victoria and son
Alejandro, and gained 4 additional children Hector, Jaime, Alida, and Roberto. As a mechanic, and agricultural farmer, Jose proved to be a hard worker. He loved listening to music, dancing, playing pool, fishing, traveling and spending time with friends and family. Always lending a helping hand to all he came across in good spirits and with a witty sense of humor.
Although tragedy hit his life in the summer of 2002 following a brain aneurysm. Jose still managed to find joy creating memorable moments with family, laughing, smiling, dancing to music, and
enjoying the warmth of the sunlight and the beauty of nature. For many more years he lived his life to the fullest despite the circumstances. He is survived by mother Juana Calvillo Balderas, brothers Felipe, Salomon, Antonio, Jose de Carmen, sisters Maria Engracia, Mariana, Maria Concepcion, Maria de Jesus, Leticia, Veronica, and Maria de La Luz. Daughters Victoria Solis(Ruiz) and Alida Licea(Gutierrez), Sons Alejandro Solis Jr, Jose (Hector) Zavala, Jose (Jaime) Medina, and 8 grandsons and 8 granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his son Roberto Carlos Licea(Bobby), Father Jose Nieves Solis, Grandmother Maria Concepcion Balderas, grandfather Santiago Calvillo.
Viewing and visitation will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sunnyside,
A Funeral Liturgy will be Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 10:00 am at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sunnyside, WA with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside, WA.
