On Saturday, October 30, 2021, Jose Luis Castro "Joey", passed away at the age of 29 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Joey was born May 27, 1992, in Prosser, Washington to David and Mary Castro of Grandview, Washington. The last born in a family of 7, Joey went on to become a graduate of Grandview High School in 2010.
Being the baby of the family, Joey could be described as silly, but always had his siblings as well as his older cousins to show him the ropes. As long as he wasn't putting his eye on his older brother's gun scope before shooting, which left him with one heck of a black eye, he wasn't too mischievous and was a typical fun-loving boy, who in time, grew into an amazing man. With a passion for drawing and fashion design, one of his major achievements was creating a fashion show that was enjoyed by many friends and family.
Joey had a quiet disposition but always had the best timing when it came to cracking a joke and making people laugh. Along with the millions of memories he created with us all, Joey also loved a beautiful beach getaway, wine tasting with friends, impromptu vacations, boating, and being the life of every party. His favorite color, yellow, symbolizes how Joey lived his life; happy, full of hope, optimism, and attention-grabbing. Joey always grabbed our attention in the best ways and was the ray of sunshine we never knew we needed.
Joey is survived by his parents, David and Mary Castro, siblings Jay Castro, Ruben Castro, Tracy Von Moos, Damian Castro, Grandparents Ruben and Raquel Castro as well as nieces and nephews, Ryan Castro, Amber Castro, Piper Castro, Madeline Castro, Fallon Castro, Ethan Von Moos, and Bradley Von Moos. He was adored and will be missed by countless others.
