Joy M. Voss

Joy M. Voss, a resident of Grandview, WA for almost 50 years, went to be with her Savior on May 9, 2021.  Joy was born on November 8, 1932 in Cle Elum, WA the daughter of Fanny M. Peretti and Jasper S. Chase.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alvin E. Voss, brother Jack Chase, and two sons, Wayne Voss, and Richard Voss.  Joy is survived by her partner of more than 20 years, John Melcher, two sons, Gary Garris and Michael Voss, three daughters, Claudia Ross, Sandra Winslow and Elaine Schneider and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was active for many years in the local Lutheran Church and Senior Citizen Group.  Besides being a great mom and raising 7 children she was in the Civil Air Patrol, was an accomplished artist and just loved life and people.  She certainly lived up to her name, Joy.   A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grandview Immanuel Lutheran Church.   Inurnment will be in the Grandview Cemetery.  Those wishing to sign Joy's online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com    Smith Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
