Joyce Foster, age 77, longtime Toppenish, WA resident went to be in the arms of her Heavenly Father on Friday, September 24, 2021. Joyce was born on January 28, 1944 in Braymer, Missouri the daughter of Goldie Gertrude Sutton and Irvin Earnest Hawkins. She received her education in Braymer, MO. On July 16, 1960 she married the love of her life, David Earl Foster in Braymer, MO. Joyce worked as a retail clerk. In her spare time, she enjoyed teaching Sunday School, crafting, sewing, crocheting and yard work. Joyce wanted everyone to remember happy times and plant flowers. Joyce was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Toppenish, WA.
Joyce is survived by one daughter Wendy Foster of Toppenish, WA and her sons, Billy Joe Barnes and Nathaniel Barnes. Step daughter, Lisa Chapman (DeLon) of Elma, WA and her children Kyle Chapman and Ashlee Chapman. She is also survived by great grandchildren Stevie Berninger, Taya Chapman and Trey Chapman. Also, her sister Anna Leabo of Braymer, MO and many nieces and nephews. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Goldie Hawkins, husband David Foster, Sisters Beatrice Harness, Bettie Hampton, Velma Goll, Elizabeth Foster and brother John Hawkins.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside, WA. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Calvary Bible Church in Toppenish, WA.
