Joyce Ann Wassemiller, age 76, went to be in the arms of her Heavenly Father on Friday, June 12, 2026 in Granger, WA surrounded by family. Joyce was born on November 21, 1949 in Yakima, WA, the daughter of Reinhold (Ray) and Alice May (Batten) Wassemiller. She received her education in Toppenish, WA and graduated with Toppenish High School Class of 1968. Throughout her working career Joyce was a Para Pro for the Toppenish School District for many years and during the summer worked for USDA in Prosser, WA. She also had her own cleaning business. She loved church activities, cats, reading, music, lunch with friends, and supporting kids. Loved family, walking and helping others. Joyce was a member of the Sunnyside Grace Brethren Church.
Joyce is survived by sister, Reinie Oswalt (Dean) of Granger, WA, brother David Wassemiller (Rosemary) of Outlook, WA, nephews, Scott Oswalt (Melisa), Craig Oswalt (Michelle), Kirk Oswalt (Stacie) all of Granger, WA. and Chad Wassemiller of Sunnyside, WA. Niece, Kerrie Heinle (James) of Selah, WA. She is also survived by great and great great nephews and nieces. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents. Alice and Ray Wassemiller. Private family graveside service will be held at the Zillah Cemetery. Celebration of Life service will be on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunnyside Grace Brethren Church. Memorials can be made to the Sunnyside Grace Brethren Church or the Union Gospel Mission.
