Juan Ramon Magallan Obituary

Juan Ramon Magallan passed away peacefully at his home on July 15th, 2021 at the age of 67. He was born on January 15th, 1954 to Francisco Magallan Sr. and Guadalupe Rodriguez in Mercedes, TX. Ramon was the oldest of his siblings.

On May 13th, 1972 Ramon married Sylvia Barrientes and they started their journey together. They were blessed to have had 49 years together. During this time Ramon and Sylvia welcomed four children. Who in turn blessed them with numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.

Ramon enjoyed spending his mornings with his wife in their gardens, and then they would sit together outside to enjoy their cup of coffee and admire all their work. And everyone knew there was never a car that was a challenge to Ramon. You could always find his head under a hood while listening to his favorite country tunes. You could always count on Ramon to give you a hand with any mechanic needs. Ramon also enjoyed the outdoors; fishing was a big love of his. And you can bet he had lots of fishing stories to share. His most joy was to be surrounded by his family. The doors were always open to all his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Ramon is survived by his wife, Sylvia Magallan (Grandview), his four children, Marianne Magallan (Grandview), Guadalupe Magallan (Kennewick), Juan Ramon Magallan Jr. (Sunnyside), and Francisco Magallan (Yakima) and 14 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren. His Mother Guadalupe Rodriguez and siblings; Gloria Mary Tovar, Rosalva M. Barrientes, Sylvia Salines, Alejandro Magallan, Francisco Magallan Jr., Elva R. Magallan, David Magallan, and Florencio Garza Jr. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Isabell Chavarria Padilla, his Father Francisco Magallan Sr., and maternal grandmother Hortencia Cavazos.
