Judy Dawson

Judy Bunch Dawson, age 75, went to be in the arms of her Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at The Orchards Assisted Living in Grandview.   Judy was born on February 12, 1944 in Huntsville, AL the daughter of Marie (Hand) and James Bunch.  As a young family they moved to the Yakima Valley in pursuit of her father’s dream of beekeeping.  Her family later grew to include sisters Betty and Reta and brother Don.  Judy received her elementary education in Sunnyside, WA and enjoyed being a baton majorette.  As a young teen Judy moved and went to school in Gurley, AL.   Following her education she enjoyed beginnings of her Gypsy Blood and moved frequently from WA to AL.  Judy enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, especially spoiling the babies and young children.  In 1961 Judy married Raph Dawson and to this union two children were born Debra and Ralph.  Later in 1971 Judy married Marcus Hamilton and a son Jason was born. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Marie Bunch and grandson, Johnny Ray Hanson.  Judy is survived by children Debra Hanson (John)  of Outlook, WA, Ralph Dawson of Owens Cross Road, AL, Jason Hamilton (Crystal) of Smyna, TN and Grand “daughter” Lesley “Nicki” Dawson.  Grandchildren  Jeremy “Mandie” Miller, Ryan, Jonathan, Jacob and Kindra Dawson, Dillon and Jalee Hamilton. Great grandhildren Justin, Jason, Jeremiah Miller, Felecia and Joshua “J.D.” Gaines, Ryland Dawson.

Memorial gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Debra and John’s home.
