Kay Clampitt, 78, of Sunnyside, WA, passed away on January 30, 2025 surrounded by her family. Born in Prosser, WA on September 17, 1946, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Kay married the love of her life, Darrell Clampitt, on September 27, 1965, in Idaho. Together, they built a family that brought her much joy. She is survived by her daughter Deadean (Bobby) Fox, her son David (Jenny) Clampitt, and her grandchildren Dusty Fox, Nikki (Justin) Alcala, Dylan Clampitt, and Samantha Clampitt. Kay also leaves behind her cherished great-grandchildren Kellee Fox, D.J. Fox, and Grayson Alcala.
Kay had a zest for life. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed many trips to Reno, Nevada in her younger years, where she shared laughter and fun with friends. Her unmistakable laugh was a trademark of her personality, and she had a gift for bringing joy to those around her. Kay’s kindness and generosity touched the hearts of many, and she will be remembered for always making others smile.
Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Clampitt, her mother, Leoda Bridger, her father, Chester Bridger, her sisters Betty Johns, Wanda Myers, Pamela Bridger, and Gloria Bridger, and her brothers Dean Bridger and Ronnie Bridger.
