Maggie Castillo Obituary

Maggie Ann Castillo was born to Sally Ballard on August 10, 1973, in Sunnyside, WA. She attended the Granger School District where she met the love of her life, David Castillo in the 4th grade. It truly was love at first sight and as they continued to grow so did their love for one another. Maggie and David were married at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Granger, WA on August 1, 1998.

In March 2020, Maggie was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. After a 19-month battle, she succumbed to liver complications on October 24, 2021.

Mom was truly one of a kind. She loved spending time with her family, always had a smile on her face and enjoyed making people laugh. She made a friend out of everyone she met. Mom was always the life of the party. She was not afraid to try new things and was very independent. She was special in every way possible. We will miss her deeply.

Maggie is survived by her husband, David Castillo; her four children, Matthew, Adrianna (Fabian), Anabel (Robert) and Daniel; her mother Sally; her sister and brothers Roxann (Adam), Eric, Travis, and Ricky; numerous nieces and nephews and loved ones. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Yolonda Lopez and her father-in-law, Quintin Castillo.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at  Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Granger, WA.   Burial will follow at the Zillah Cemetery, Zillah, Washington.  Those wishing to sign Maggie's online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com Smith Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
