Margarita Degollado

Margarita Degollado, age 65, of Grandview, WA  went to be in the arms of her loving Savior on Thursday, March 12, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.  Margarita was born on August 21, 1954 in Holland, Michigan the daughter of Maria de Jesus (Aguilar) and Cayetano Quintero.  She received her education in Grandview, WA and worked in the local warehouses for many years.   Margarita loved listening to music, making people laugh, thrift store shopping and wearing jewelry.   She cherished time was spent with her five grandchildren.  She was a member of the Catholic Church. 

Margarita is survived by her  significant other, Jose Vargas of Grandiew, WA, children, Lydia Degollado, Laura Jessia Villada (Daniel Hernandez) all of Sunnyside, WA and Zenaido Degollado Jr. of Grandview, WA.  She is also survived by five grandchildren, one brother, Ramiro Serrata (Lyn), two sisters Eugenia Acosta and Raquel Magaña.  Margarita is preceded in death by her parents, Maria de Jesus and Cayetano Quintero, son Armando Degollado, brother Roberto Serrata and sister Josefa Perez.

Viewing and visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Grandview, WA.  Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grandview Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home, Grandview, WA.   Those wishing to sign Margarita’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com    Smith Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
