Maria Jesus Gonzalez-Uribe, age 88, of Grandview, WA. Passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019 with her loving family and caregiver, Janie Escobar, by her side. Maria was born to loving

parents Pete & Natividad Fuentes Gonzales on May 17th, 1930 in Calvert, Texas. She had a deep love for Filemon Uribe & they spent many wonderful years together til the time

of his passing. Maria was a diligent and hard migrant worker not only taking care of her family but also working many long days in the agricultural industry.

Maria loved watering her plants & all forms of gardening, she enjoyed crocheting, crossword  puzzles, listening to Tejano music, & spending hours with her kids & grandchildren. She also

enjoyed her doves, scratch tickets, yardsales, going to the casino, & canning her favorite hot sauce.

She is survived by 2 sisters & 1 brother & children; Gloria (Joe) Flores, Pharr, Tx. Hopie Fuentes, Pharr, Tx. Joe Gonzalez, Outlook, Wa. Esperanza Uribe, Sunnyside, Wa. Angie

(Benjamin) Mendez, Sunnyside, Wa. Filemon Uribe Jr., Grandview, Wa. Pedro (Olga) Gonzales, Outlook, Wa. Juan (Diana) Uribe, Sunnyside, Wa., Connie Urbie, Sunnyside, Segundo Uribe, Grandview, Wa. Susie

Uribe & Rudy Riojas, Outlook, Wa. Gilbert Uribe, Grandview, Wa. Cynthia Uribe, Grandview, Wa. as well as 51 Grandchildren, 72 Great grandchildren, 11 Great great Grandchildren &

several nieces& nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Pete Gonzales & Natividad Fuentes, 1 sister, 1 brother, her husband, Filemon Uribe, 1 Son & 1 Grandson.

Viewing and visitation will be held on Monday, May 13, 2019 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA. with evening services starting at 6 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 11 am at Smith Funeral Home with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens.
