Maria Del Carmen Perez was born on March 21, 1925, in Mexico to parents Diego & Maria Refugia Garcia. She was the youngest of a total of 10 children, having 3 brothers and 6 sisters. Maria moved to Texas for some of her early years and later made her permanent home in Othello Washington where she lived out the rest of her life with her son, as she made it one of her priorities that their bond be one that all would be able to refer to as A Mothers Love for her child. Maria worked in farm labor and later living her life in her purpose as a Loving Mother Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother and permanent homemaker, being blessed as a mother to 15 babies and birthing 12 children. (3 that the Lord decided to take into heaven early). Maria had many loves and hobbies as her greatest love was being around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed the love and laughter around her and was known to give each of them a special name. She had a great talent for canning and a passion for cooking and feeding all of her family and visitors to her home. Maria loved to sew and was known for having pet birds. She enjoyed drinking her cafecito and pan dulce. She was always willing to watch WWF wrestling and on occasional Telenovela. Maria was always willing to help her children with having her grandchildren and great-grandchildren over while the parents worked. Keeping her childhood and her wonderful memories of life alive, Maria would sit with you for hours and reminisce.
