Maria Teresa Mendoza

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend Maria Teresa Mendoza, age 79, went to be in the arms of her Savior on Thursday, September 7, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.  Maria was born on October 11, 1943 in Guanajuato, Mexico the daughter of Narciso and Juana Arellano Juarez. She received her early education in Mexico. On December 11,1971 she married Roberto Mendoza in Mabton, WA at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.  Maria loved her garden and flowers. Playing slot machines on her tablet.  Spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She also spoiled them with her fantastic cooking and baking.

Maria is survived by her husband Roberto Mendoza of Sunnyside, WA.  Children Pedro J. Mendoza (Veronica) of Grandview, WA, Silvia J. Mendoza of Grandview, WA, Juan Pablo Mendoza, Narciso Mendoza, Maria Teresa Mendoza (Benjamin Silva Jr.) all of Sunnyside, WA. Grandchildren Ulysses I. Mendoza, Eric F. Mendoza, Aiden Mendoza, Esai Dario Mendoza, Lorenz Silva, Aalijah Silva, Jaiden Silva, Josiah Silva. She is also survived by one brother Miguel Juarez (Pura Raquel) of Mabton, WA, Maria Luisa Rodriguez of Yakima, WA and Graciela Guichard (Thomas) of Lynnwood, WA.  Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Narciso and Juana Juarez, son Dario J. Mendoza and four sisters, Guadalupe DeLeon, Petra Mendoza, Maria Del Rosario Juarez and Hermelinda Juarez. 

Viewing and visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Mabton, WA with burial to follow at the Mabton Cemetery, Mabton, WA.    Those wishing to sign Maria's online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com   Smith Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
