Marjorie Louise “Teddy” Hutton Bridger, age 92, went to be in the arms of her heavenly father on January 27, 2023. Teddy was born on December 11, 1930 in Ulysses, Kansas, the daughter of Alfred and Jessie (Basler) Coder. In 1948 she married Rex Hutton and they made their home in Toppenish where they raised four children. After the death of her husband Rex, Teddy met and later married Dean Bridger of Sunnyside, WA and her family doubled in size. Following Dean’s passing Teddy made her home in Zillah, WA.
She is survived by children Marlene Coder (Larry), Mike Hutton (Brooks), Linda Knee (Bruce), stepchildren Chet, Melody and Deanna, 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, 1 great great great grandson, brother Dale Coder, sisters Mary Bedker and Janice Bottineau plus numerous step grandchildren. Teddy is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Rex Hutton and Dean Bridger, siblings George, Howard, Wally, Russell, Richard, Mina and Maxine, son Mark Hutton, step-son Dean Bridger, grandsons Bryan Hutton and Bryan Knee and great grandsons Justin Coder and Andy Rich.
Graveside Service will be held on Friday, Feb. 3, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside, WA. Those wishing to sign Teddy’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com Smith Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
