Obituary

Martin Zaragoza Ramos, age 78, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.  Martin was born on March 21, 1942 in Michoacán, Mexico the son of Concepcion (Ramos) and Eleodoro Zaragoza.  On April 6, 1987 he married Graciela Alvarez in Prosser, WA.  Martin working career was dedicated to agricultural work. He enjoyed playing pool and dominos with friends and family.  Martin participated in local pool leagues for many years.  He cherished the time he spent with his grandkids and great grandkids. 

Martin is survived by his wife, Graciela Zaragoza Alvarez of Sunnyside, WA.  Nine children, Martin Zaragoza Jr., Miguel Zaragoza, Ayda Zaragoza all of Sunnyside, WA,  Connie Zaragoza (Jorge Gonzalez of Grandview, WA, Eleodoro Zaragoza (Esmeralda) of Moscow, Idaho, Graciela Zaragoza (Rigoberto Garibaldo) of Mabton, WA., Martin Sanchez, Maria Segovia and Jose Luis Sanchez all of California.  He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, siblings Maria de Jesus, Luz, Carmen, Maria, Eduardo, Ignacio, Miguel and Jose.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Eleodoro Zaragoza and Concepcion Ramos, brother Eudoro Zaragoza and daughter Licha Zaragoza. 

Viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA.  Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside, WA.  Those wishing to sign Martin’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com   Smith Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
