Martin William Vice Obituary

Martin William Vice, age 71 of Prosser, WA. Passed away on Thursday Nov. 21st, 2019 at his home in Prosser, WA.  He was born January 5th, 1948 in Chicago, IL the son of William and Myrtle Vice.  Martin was a wonderful father and loving grandfather to his family. Martin received his education at Paramount High School, CA graduating with his class of 1966. Martin enlisted in the Navy Oct. 23rd, 1965 and served in Vietnam from 1967 – May 18th, 1968 serving two years.  He was awarded several decorations and commendations during his time in the Navy including:  Vietnam Campaign Medal – Vietnam Service Medal (Bronze Star) and National Defense Service Medal.  After Navy Service he came home to southern CA and went to work for (BNSF) Kinder Morgan for 45 years and retiring in 2014.  He moved to WA to be near his son in 2014 and lived a happy content life while enjoying his many hobbies. Martin is survived by his loving children son Richard William (Danielle) Vice of Prosser, daughter Tamara Kathleen (Ernie) Andrasik.  He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Sadie (David) Kurth, Shelby (Daniel) Kollmar, Lindsey Vice, Tanner Richart and Kendall Richart. Three Great Grandchildren, Spencer Kollmar, Myles Kollmar and Lewis Kurth. Sibilings Larry Vice, Lynda Havlu, Mark Carlson and Donna Baker.  He is preceded in death by his mother Myrtle Carlson and father William Vice.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held Friday Dec. 6th, 2019 at 11:00 am at Prosser Cemetery in Prosser, WA. Those wishing to sign Martin’s online Memorial Book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com Smith Funeral Home Ltd. and Crematory in care of arrangements.
