Max Wickham was born in 1934 in Hazelton, ID to Jack & Ivy Wickham. He grew up in Twin Falls, ID and attended Twin Falls High School. He passed away, surrounded by loved ones, at home in Grandview, WA on February 13, 2024.
Max married Barbara Grindstaff in December 1955 in Elko, Nevada. They moved their family to Sunnyside, WA in 1959. Max worked for Walls, later Walco International. He also drove school bus for the Sunnyside School District. Max ran a cow-calf operation, specializing in exotic breeds, and operated a successful dairy breeding and genetic matching service. He spent many days at Black Rock Creek Golf Course, even shooting his age at 76.
Max is survived by his children Vinceena (Larry) Irgens of Orange, CA, David (Cindy) Wickham of Virginia, Mike (Gloria) Wickham of Meridian, ID, Theresa Hancock of Sunnyside, WA. Grandchildren Jamie Jo (Jake) Watson of Boise, ID, Cheyenne (Gary) LaViolette of West Richland, WA, Jeremiah (Aimee) Wickham of Nampa, ID, Matt (Olivia) Sorensen of Springfield, OR, Derek (Dawn) Wickham of Meridian, ID, Chris (Holly) Trammel of Yakima, WA, Shalyce (Kyle) Childers of Portland, OR, Devarae (Mychal) Loomis of San Diego, CA, Blake (Sara) Wickham of Meridian, ID, Josh (Megan) Wickham of Japan, Jordan (Mariah) Wickham of Virginia. Great grandchildren Kayla, Katelyn, Max, Emma, Micah, Elise, Penelope, Sawyer, Everett, Lily, Alistair, Killian, Lochlan, Haygen, Cambria, Rhynn, Addi, Elli, SophieAnn, Harper, Rogue, Xzavier, & Onyx. Max is also survived by many friends and loved ones. Max is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara, brother, sisters, son-in-law, Loran Hancock, and many others. At Max’s request, there will be no formal services. A celebration of Max’s life will be held at a later date. The family requests no flowers.
