On Friday May 22nd, our beautiful Sadie drowned while saving the life of her devoted dog Jasper, who is now residing with family. She left this world as she lived, forever loyal to those that she loved. She lived life on her own terms and brought vibrancy and excitement to the many lives she touched. She had her CDL as well as a license in cosmetology. A fitting contrast to the many interests she enjoyed throughout her life. She loved driving big rigs and the adventure they provided. She loved being in nature and her many adventures included hot springs as well as places off the beaten path. She loved creating outfits with things that she discovered at thrift stores and wasn’t afraid to make daring choices. She spent spring tending to her plants, and she looked forward to her sunflower harvest in the Summer. The world was too small to contain her. She was bold, brutally honest, but forever by your side. Her nephew Owen christened her “Uncle Sadie” and she wore that title proudly. She had a tremendous love for animals, especially for her beloved bull terrier Jasper, who was her constant companion throughout her many adventures. Her heart was big for those around her, lending an ear, a kind word or some good-natured teasing. She is survived by her mother, Pamela Rojas; her sister, Savanah Costelloe; her brother, Carlton Massey; her brother-in-law, Joseph Zelkan; her chosen sisters, Brandi Duval and Morgan Brown; three stepsisters; her nephews, Owen and Lucas Zelkan; and her niece, Ozzy. As well as numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Brett Costelloe; and her stepfather, Abel Rojas. Her sister once said when they were young, "Mom, every family needs a Sadie" and we were blessed with the very best version of that. She will be endlessly missed by those who knew and loved her. Our hearts are broken.
