Michael Partida of Sunnyside, WA passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the age of 48.
Michael was born in Sunnyside on December 8, 1972, to Father Fidel M. Partida and Mother Mary Robles Partida. Michael attended Sunnyside High School, Yakima Valley Community College and went on to become a Master Welder, Shipyard Marine Welder, Premium Welder 1st Class, Machinist Fabricator, Barbecue Barrel Developer, Landscaping Artist, and Field Laborer. He was a perfectionist and took pride in his work and the jobs he completed.
Michael was so much more than his struggles. He was a devoted father, son, brother, Tio, and friend. He saw beauty all around him and was so proud of who he was and where he came from. He loved his family, a good laugh, cooking, the Dallas Cowboys, and always enjoyed a good dare (we all know the one involving a bull). Everyone who met Michael was instantly drawn to his enthusiasm for life, generosity, and passion for living. He never knew a stranger and would always make you feel seen. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him saw how kind and caring he was; he truly had a heart of gold. To know him was to love him, and everyone had a soft spot in their heart for him. Michael never stopped trying to make positive changes because he loved his life, and absolutely cherished his family.
On August 24, 2012, the love of his life was born, his daughter, his twin, Tehya-Koko Ida Partida. From this point forward his whole world revolved around her, she was the light of his life. He loved being her father and cherished every single moment with her. The two were inseparable. Teyha-Koko truly made his life complete.
All who loved him will never forget his blue bandana, signature sly smile, and that unforgettable laugh. He loved fiercely and deeply, and we take comfort in knowing that Michael is now at peace surrounded by light.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Teyha-Koko; Parents Fidel and Mary Partida; Siblings Anita (Lorenzo) Garza, Roel (Esthela) Partida, Daniel Partida, Ida Zamarron, Raul Partida, and Dolores (Mike) Castilleja. Preceding him in death were his brothers, Fidel Partida Jr., and Frank Zamarron; and great-niece Angel Marie Zamarron.
