Monica Sanchez Moore Obituary

Monica Anna Sanchez-Moore Beloved wife, daughter, mother, sister, aunt, sister in law, and friend, Monica fought a long and courageous battle with breast cancer for 11 years. Surrounded by her husband and loved ones, she passed away peacefully on November 10, 2021. Monica was born in Prosser, Washington on August 22, 1972, to Andres and Inocencia Sanchez of Grandview. She attended Grandview High School and graduated with the class of 1990. Monica began working for Safeway at age 16, where she was happily employed for 23 years. She married her husband, Jason Moore of Sunnyside on September 13, 2003. Monica liked to spend time with her three children: Natashia (Gabriel) Castro, Samuel (Faith) Sundet, of Grandview and Kaylee Moore of Sunnyside and family. She was the proud Grandma to six grandchildren: Aneisa Castro, Zaniah, Damian, London, Samuel, and Kaylani Sundet. Monica enjoyed going to the beach, camping, and spending time with her family. Even though she wasn’t the oldest sibling, she would take the reins in organizing family get-togethers, holiday events, and special occasions. Monica loved to laugh and have a good time with family and friends. She is remembered for her sense of humor and feisty spirit. She is preceded in death by her Mother-in-Law Rita Schreck. Monica is survived by her husband Jason, parents, Andy & Inocencia, brother Michael (Mindy) Sanchez, sister Rebecca (Freddie) Garza, her three children, six grandchildren, brothers-in-law Pete Hall, Mark (Patty) Hall, Gary (Karen) Hall, sister-in-law Linda Hall, numerous nieces and nephews, and her faithful companion Oakley.
