Patricia Ann Escobar, age 71, went to be in the arms of her Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 2, 2022. Pat was born on November 8, 1950 in Van Wert, Ohio the daughter of Dorothy (Ehrman) and Chester Raymond Butler. She received her education in Zillah, WA and graduated with the Class of 1969. On July 12, 1974 she married Raymond (Ted) Escobar at the Escobar Family home in Granger. Pat service in the Army Reserves from 1972-1975. She drove shuttle for Legends Casino for nineteen years. She enjoyed watching movies and was an avid Seattle Mariner and Sea Hawk Fan. Pat was a member of the St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Yakima, WA.
She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond (Ted) Escobar of Granger, WA. Children Grover Escobar and Laura Alvarez of Spokane, WA, Dorothy (Jenny) Escobar of Granger, WA, Berney and Andrew Neal of Walla Walla, WA, Raymond (Teddy) and Sabrina Escobar of Carlsbad, New Mexico. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and siblings Linda Edwards, Carl Butler, Ernest (Butch) Butler, Sandra Heilman, Gary Butler and Cheryl Smead. She is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Dorothy Butler, one daughter, Brenda in 1993 and eight siblings. Viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 8, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church 15 S. 12th Ave. Yakima, WA. 98902 with burial to follow at the Elmwood Cemetery in Toppenish, WA.
