Patricia Mae Hall, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by family. She was born on March 11, 1932, in Selah, Washington, to James L. Rusk and Opal E. (Willoughby) Rusk. She was the younger sister of Gerald Rusk. Patricia spent her early childhood in Selah before her family moved to Grandview, WA, and later to Mabton, where they operated a turkey ranch.Growing up, Patricia developed a deep love for horses. She was a proud member of the Sunnyside Stampeders Riding Club and spent countless hours riding her horse, Little Bit. She competed throughout the Yakima Valley, and in 1946, she was honored to serve as a princess on the court for the Toppenish Pow Wow and Rodeo. A 1950 graduate of Mabton High School, Patricia soon married her high school friend’s brother, George Hall, on July 2, 1950, shortly after his return from serving in the ArmyAir Force. Together, they built a life rooted in farming, family, and community. In their early years, they lived in the Horse Heaven Hills near Mabton, raising wheat, working the land, and raising three daughters. Patricia was known for her hearty harvest meals and her skill with animals, especially her mares and colts. In 1967, Patricia and George moved to Sunnyside, WA, where they purchased an 80-acre farm. Over the years, Patricia worked at Western Farmers and Prosser Pack, but her greatest dedication was to the calves she and George raised together. She cared for them with diligence and compassion, keeping them on strict feeding schedules and nursing them back to health when needed. She retired at age 75. Outside of farm life, Patricia treasured time with her family and loved playing cards—whether it was pinochle, canasta, or a good casino game. She found her greatest joy in family gatherings and in watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. Patricia is survived by her daughters Linda (Ed) Bordwell, Cheryl Beightol, and Shawn (Mitch) Schaneman Cruz; grandchildren Will (Amy) Beightol, Brandon (Kim) Beightol, Brezzi (Ramon) Campos, Marcus (Elissa) Schaneman, and Tanner Schaneman; and her great-grandchildren Taylor, Ryan, Mia, Liana, Kiarra, Mikayla, Miguel, Bryson, Draco and Jaxyn, as well as great-great grandsons Jackson, Cordae and Emiliano. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband George Hall, and sons-in-law Richard Beightol and Ray Schaneman. Patricia will be remembered for her love of animals, her strength of spirit, and the devotion she had to her family. Her legacy of warmth, hard work, and laughter will live on through all who knew and loved her.
