Pauline Gimlin Obituary

Pauline Mae Gimlin (Robinson), 95, of Mabton, Washington, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026, in Prosser, Washington, surrounded by her family. She was born December 6, 1930, in Yakima, Washington, to William and Rose (Charron) Robinson. Pauline was raised in Moxee and attended Holy Rosary Catholic School.

She married William Gimlin in 1949, and together they raised five children. Pauline spent many years working in the area, including at Prosser Pak and Twin City Foods, and later retired from ConAgra.

Pauline was known for her strong work ethic, keeping a tidy home, and always staying busy—often cleaning or pulling weeds in the yard. She loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed shopping, dancing, and gathering to play cards or board games.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Rose Robinson; her brother, Leonard Robinson, and his wife, Penny; and William Gimlin.

Pauline is survived by her children: Linda Roberson; Vickie Widmyer (Don); Rick Gimlin (Cher); Kathy Beitel (Joe); and Mark Gimlin (Susan); as well as 11 grandchildren, 28 great‑grandchildren, and 5 great‑great‑grandchildren.

Viewing and Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Grandview, WA.   Burial will be at the Holy Rosary Cemetery in Moxee, WA. on Friday, May 1, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing to sign Pauline's online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com   Smith Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
