Ramona Sanchez Obituary

Ramona L. Sanchez, 88, of Burbank, Washington, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025.

She was born on January 28, 1937, in Robstown, Texas, to her mother, Trinidad Jaramillo. On June 7, 1953, Ramona married the love of her life and forever dance partner, Raul V. Sanchez. Together, they built a life full of love and raised their family in Mabton, Washington.

In her early years, Ramona enjoyed selling Avon and served as a Hispanic dance coordinator for Mabton youth during annual community events—a reflection of her deep connection to others. She later pursued a career in healthcare, earning her nursing degree from Yakima Valley Community College (YVCC). She dedicated her career caring for others, working at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Sunnyside and later at the Valley Farmworkers Clinic in Grandview.

Ramona was known for her willingness to help anyone in need. A devoted steward of the Lord, she often shared meaningful Bible verses with those around her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her kindness and unwavering love for her family will be remembered always.

Ramona is survived by her children: John, Robert, Lisa, Gary, and Jeff Sanchez. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raul V. Sanchez, and their daughter, Josie Sanchez.

Ramona’s legacy of faith, love, and generosity lives on in all who knew and loved her.
