Rafael “Ray” Alfonso Cerrillo was born June 10, 1944, and passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026, in Wenatchee, Washington, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family. Ray is survived by his wife, Teresa, and daughters, DeAnne Wiley (Joe) and Karisa Usher; grandchildren, Megan (Wiley) Hafner and Katie (Wiley) Ekberg, Osten Cerrillo, Dylan Usher and three great grandchildren; brothers, Oscar Cerrillo, Willie Cerrillo and Fred Cerrillo. Ray was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Urbina Cerrillo, father, Oscar Cerrillo, grandson, Dustin Usher, brother, Lamar Cerrillo and sister Rosa Cerrillo. Born in Eagle Pass, TX., Ray was the eldest of five siblings. He spent his formative years in the Yakima Valley where he also received his education. He served his country in the United States Army National Guard. The highlight of his career was serving the community in various aspects of law enforcement, most notably as a Yakima County Sheriff's Deputy for 18 years. He retired from the Washington State Liquor Control Board in 2007. His love of service extended to advocating and protecting migrant children and families through the Migrant Education Program. Viewing and Visitation will be held Friday, February 13, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm at Jones & Jones Funeral Home in Wenatchee, WA. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Wenatchee St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wenatchee, WA. Reception following funeral service. Inurnment with Law Enforcement Honors will be Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 11:00 am at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside, WA.
